WordPress now allows users to control whether their content is shared with AI platforms, offering an opt-out toggle and enhanced privacy settings.

Opt-Out for AI Content Sharing

WordPress has introduced a new tool that lets users prevent third-party AI platforms from accessing content on public blogs. This feature is designed to give users more control over how their content is used for AI training, regardless of geographic location, and aligns with emerging regulations like the European Union’s AI Act  To opt out, users can navigate to Settings → General → Privacy and toggle on the “Prevent third-party data sharing” option. Sites that already discourage search engines from crawling are automatically set to prevent third-party sharing.
